Business is personal at KERAMIDA, a full-service sustainability, environmental, health and safety, and remediation consulting and engineering firm headquartered in Indianapolis. Investing in sponsorships helps the company connect with current and potential customers.
“Let’s face it: We want to be in front of the right people,” declares vice president of business development Tim Higgins.
He says that participating at training events – such as the annual Safety and Health Conference & Expo, Indiana Environmental Conference and Indiana Conference on Energy Management – as a sponsor, exhibitor and/or presenter helps build crucial relationships.
“I can see 15 or 20 people we’re currently doing projects with and if they’re networking with me and prospective folks at the same time, I can get an endorsement from them,” Higgins emphasizes.
KERAMIDA began sponsoring the Annual Awards Dinner in the mid-1990s. In 2014, the celebration – which honors Indiana's Business Leader, Government Leader and Community of the Year – attracted more than 1,500 attendees.
“The Chamber promotes it tremendously,” Higgins reflects. “We look at that not only as a branding opportunity, but the exposure we get (is exceptional). Our logo is getting in front of thousands and thousands and thousands on a regular basis. We appreciate that.”
