(INDIANAPOLIS) -- There is still time to register for the 2013 Indiana Employee Health and Wellness Summit, which takes place September 30 and October 1 at the Crowne Plaza at Union Station in downtown Indianapolis.
The two-day session is hosted by the Indiana Chamber of Commerce, along with the Wellness Council of Indiana, INShape Indiana and the American Diabetes Association.
On September 30, workshops throughout the day focus on topics such as how to become an AchieveWELL Five-Star Certified organization, the benefits of a workplace wellness program, an employer road map to the Affordable Care Act and the importance of exercise in the workplace.
Educational break-out sessions on a wide array of subjects and a health and wellness expo featuring more than 40 industry vendors will take place October 1.
Delivering the opening keynote presentation on October 1, PhD nutritionist, author and speaker Dr. Jo Litchen will reveal proven health tips to control such things as thoughts and worries, how to get a more refreshing night's sleep and changes in eating habits to prevent low energy. Hank Orme, former president of Nebraska-based Lincoln Industries, will explain how to achieve balance between financial goals and establishing a healthy workplace culture during the closing address.
The cost for the summit is $299 for both days; $109 for those attending on September 30; and $199 for those attending October 1. The reduced student price is $99 for one day or $199 for both days. Companies sending one representative may send a second for half price.
