Purdue University Northwest (PNW) has appointed Anne Gregory to lead the university’s Office of Concurrent Enrollment. Gregory is also the director of PNW’s School of Education and Counseling within the College of Humanities, Education and Social Sciences.

Concurrent enrollment at PNW
Concurrent enrollment, or dual credit, courses provide opportunities for qualified students of partnering high schools to earn college credits while attending high school. Concurrent enrollment courses are taught at high schools by qualified high school faculty who meet the Higher Learning Commission and Purdue Northwest’s standards.

Purdue Northwest has a history of strong partnerships with the area’s K-12 schools and is continuing to enhance and expand these commitments.

Leadership and Vision
“Dr. Gregory brings a high level of enthusiasm, energy and invaluable experience to the role. Having worked previously as both a K-12 instructor and a higher education administrator, she is adept at navigating the concurrent enrollment processes,” says Vice Chancellor of Academic Affairs and Provost Ralph O. Mueller.

“Anne’s responsibilities as the leader of the PNW concurrent enrollment program will include evaluating how to effectively and efficiently administer concurrent enrollment for the university with an emphasis on school partnerships.”

Gregory’s fresh perspective and strategic plan will enhance the university-wide program. Her vision includes reaching out to the surrounding area schools to find options that meet the objectives of both PNW and its K-12 partners. She also plans to implement open dialogue meetings with area schools to determine any additional opportunities for necessary support.

“We are a community working together,” Gregory said. “This is about collaboration and identifying mutually beneficial opportunities. We are stronger when we are united toward a single goal.”
