School Corporation Size & Student Performance: Evidence from Indiana
This August 2017 study was conducted by the Ball State University Center for Business and Economic Research at the direction of the Indiana Chamber Foundation. Previous studies only focused on cost inefficiencies of smaller corporations and not student achievement.
School Corporation Size & Student Performance: Evidence from Indiana reveals significantly poorer outcomes (SAT scores, AP exam pass rates and more) for students in corporations that are below the minimally efficient scale of roughly 2,000 students, as well as reduced advanced course offerings that impact college/career choices and economic potential.
